The JHS Pedals second incarnation of its original Colour Box seems to be a hit. The Colour Box 500, introduced in 2017 was a powerful tone shaping preamp for professional guitarists and studios. At the introductory price of $899.00 it didn't fit into most guitarists budgets, but the Colour Box V2 hit the market at $399.00, and hit the top selling list at #7!
From the Beatles’ “Revolution” to Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” to Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl,” some of rock’s most storied guitar tones were created by skipping the amp and plugging right into a vintage recording console. The JHS Colour Box V2 takes that concept and drops it on your pedalboard. With a fully analog, transformer-based design and sweet-sounding EQ section, the Colour Box V2 is a tone-shaping wizard that can re-create classic tones or help you produce unique signature sounds.
Not just for guitarists, Colour Box V2 sounds great on bass, keys, and vocals, too. And it’s a versatile studio tool favored by engineers for adding swagger and personality to any recording.

The monumental success of the Fulltone OCD spawned the OCD Ge germanium version in 2019. Like its predecessor, the new OCD Ge sounds amazing through any style amplifier or stacked with other effects. Accentuate warm highs or lows with the flip of a switch. Another amazing, affordable pedal from Fulltone.
The OCD pedal is the only pedal that uses 2 x Mosfets configured as hard-clipping to 'Voltage reference" instead of the usual way: to ground." The earliest OCDs used 2 x Mosfets plus 1 x Germanium diode, but very quickly these diodes became harder and harder to find, and they became expensive. Recently I stumbled across a reasonably large stash of the right kind of Germanium diodes so I ponied-up and bought all of them.
So I decided to do a run of the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with a few circuit tweaks using 2 x Mosfets plus 2 x Germanium diodes, and one hell of a beautiful paint job... Metallic Teal with a chrome undercoat! This beauty morphs between blues and greens depending on the light and angle. And what would the ultimate OCD be without a Blue LED? The sound? Great definition, more tube-like feel, a bit wider dynamic range, more sustain, and a more focused single-note tone. And as with all Fulltone pedals... 100% Built in the USA.
#10 Best Seller: Retail Price: $299.00
