The Electro-Harmonix Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi stacks the fuzzy bite of a Big Muff on top of an overdrive circuit to give Muff fans what might be the most flexible Muff yet. Using a quartet of germanium transistors (two for each side), the Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi conjures any kind of distortion from mild to wild. The four transistors are just part of the magic though, as you have access to unique controls, such as Bias and Volts, that let you fine-tune the distortion sound and add character. The Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi is one amazing stompbox!
