CostaLab | Booster

The CostaLab Booster is the pedal that started the CostaLab brand experience. It is an important tool for every guitarist as it not only serves to increase the volume but, more organically, serves to “push” the device connected downstream.

Using it with a tube amp, you can switch from a crunch sound to a powerful, creamy lead sound, for example, using the amp’s only dynamics.Similarly, it can be used to give more saturation to an overdrive. Finally, the CostaLab Booster , if used at the end of the effects chain, can also be used to increase its volume during soloing.

Being particularly quiet, it can be used at high levels of gain without contraindications. Precisely because of the predisposition to use in such situations, the pedal has been equalized so as to have a slightly veiled response on the high frequencies, with a warm and soft sound, which is very reminiscent of the sound produced by the tube apparatus. In fact, it is known that with distorted sounds and rich in harmonics, the addition of an additional gain stage often involves the presence of too rattling high frequencies, in addition to the increase in background noise.
