The Magnatone Super Fifty-Nine MKII 1 x 12″ all-tube combo amp delivers vintage British EL34 high-gain grind, along with Magnatone’s signature Varistor pitch-shifting vibrato, tremolo, and mid-century American styling. In contrast with its MKI stablemate, the 45-watt, single-channel MKII sports slightly lower gain, more preamp headroom, updated 2-stage solid-state vibrato drive circuitry and a diode rectifier. The inputs are different as well, with four bridgeable inputs (two normal, two bright), with two volume controls, master volume, a classic 4-band tone stack, and tube-buffered FX loop. Tone-savvy guitar gods Jeff Beck and Billy Gibbons rock Magnatone backlines. Plug in, and hear what the fuss is all about. From glassy cleans to bone-rattling crunch to blistering high gain, your wish is the Super Fifty-Nine MKII’s command.
